This May the Simple Things is partnering with supper club hosts across the country to bring some truly unique dining experiences. On Saturday 7th May they team up with Trove regulars Seasons Eatings to create one amazing Supper Club.

A free gig by Tina Refines, hailing from the Norwegian capital of Oslo, Tina Refsnes is a singer-songwriter currently concocting a potent mix of English new-folk and poignant acoustic Americana. Her debut album «No One Knows That You’re Lost», produced by Robbie Lackritz (Feist, Bahamas, The Weather Station) was released in November 2015 and has received praise from press and music blogs both in Norway and in the UK.
Growing up in the small seaside town of Floro, Tina’s love for the open seascape and mountainous terrain followed her into her songwriting, where she displays elements of Neil Young, Laura Marling and Joni Mitchell.

After a brief introduction to the day ahead we will be getting our hands stuck into weighing and mixing. Five different types of bread will be made with an emphasis on naturally leavened doughs; wholemeal sourdough, focaccia, ciabatta, 100% rye sourdough and baguettes.
The class will focus on hand shaping techniques, kneading and caring for your sourdough levain.
The overall aim is to build confidence and understanding of real bread.
