Ladies of Restaurants (L.O.R) is back in Manchester with a northern instalment of their In Stories dinner series. In Stories is a dinner party prepared by a female chef (in this case two!) with women speaking inbetween each course, sharing a story that has shaped their life/career.

In this instalment we'll be hearing from Philippa Middlehurst aka @pippyeats, Lousie Kissack, founder of Spaghetti Group and Katy Saide, co-owner & founder of Trove.

Create solid sterling silver rings from scratch using traditional silversmithing techniques.

Your friendly tutors will be on hand at all times during the workshop to closely guide you through each step, ensuring each person makes their own ring(s) entirely by themselves.

You will have a choice of making two stacking rings with a semi-precious gemstone or one chunky, textured ring. The steps include sizing your finger, measuring the amount of silver needed, filing the metal, shaping the ring, using a blowtorch, adding texture, setting a stone the traditional way without glue and many other skills. Silver and tool use is included in the price, your ring(s) will go with you ready to wear at the end of the class!

The silver used in the class is 925 Solid Sterling Silver. This workshop typically lasts around 2-2.5 hours in total and is aimed at complete beginners but all are welcome :)

Award winning Manchester based home cook, Pippa, loves working with Asian flavours and will be preparing a 5 course, vegan Thai menu …. which will include her massaman curry (a firm favourite amongst her supper club guests!)

Taste the Love will be taking over the TROVE kitchen for a charity supper club this October as part of the Manchester Food and Drink Festival fringe events. All proceeds from #lovefoodgivefood will be donated to the charity Action Against Hunger.

Wellness goddess, lifestyle guru, founder of Hemsley + Hemsley, Jasmine, is coming up for a special collaboration with MFDF and the award-winning artisans of Trove Bakery to create an Ayurvedic menu inspired by Jasmine's latest book East by West. It's a match made in heaven - Trove's focus on making food from scratch by hand and with a central focus on organic ingredients and locally sourced produce will meet Jasmine's home-cooked and mindful approach.  Trove's natural wine collection will be availble on the night too.
